I. RULES OF THE RACE
- Participants are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the rules that apply to participation in the ÍR street races and following them in full. Violations of the rules may invalidate participation in the race.
- All participants who register for the ÍR street race are at their own risk. Children are at the responsibility of their parents.
- Participants should familiarize themselves with the race arrangements on the ÍR website, on the information page for the Víðavangshlaup and on the Gamlárshlaup, which includes information about registration, race route, start, timing, age groups and prizes.
- The race courses in the ÍR street races are not completely closed to car traffic and it is therefore important to exercise caution. All participants should familiarize themselves with the layout of the finish area, regarding speed traps and organized exit routes.
- Participants should familiarize themselves with the race routes and only run along the course that has been defined by the race organizer. The race is on the streets unless specifically marked that the runner should turn onto the sidewalk or footpath, otherwise the runner must always follow the road.
- Participants must start the race at the advertised time. The timing system is only active at that time.
- Timing ends 60 minutes after the start of the Víðavangshlaup ÍR and 90 minutes after the start of the Gamlárshlaup ÍR. Those who finish later will not receive a recorded time.
- Participants must have their race number visible at the front, at all times during the race. A race number is registered to a specific participant and is valid only for that individual. Deviation from this will invalidate the timing.
- The race course is intended for competitors only. It is not permitted to follow runners on foot, running, on a bicycle or in other vehicles. It is the responsibility of the participants to turn away those who wish to follow. The Icelandic Athletics Department reserves the right to turn away those who are on a bicycle or other vehicle on the course or near running participants.
- Participants are not permitted to accept service from anyone other than race staff in the form of food, drink or physical support, except in an emergency. In such cases, the race director must be notified.
- Participants are not permitted to bring dogs or other pets with them during the race.
- It is not permitted to participate in the race on motorized or electrically powered vehicles, bicycles, scooters, inline skates, skateboards, skis, hand-cycles or other similar equipment.
- Participants with strollers or Nordic walking poles must line up at the back at the start of the race.
- Participants must show courtesy to all race staff and follow their instructions and instructions.
- Participants must be considerate of other runners and keep in mind general traffic rules.
- Once participants have finished a race, they are not allowed to go back out onto the track to run with other participants.
- Results are published on an advertised website in addition to times being sent to runners by text message. Results for prize places are confirmed at the prize ceremony, but otherwise, the publication of results on an advertised website is considered legal publication of results. Corrections to results must be received within the required advertised time and the final results are published no later than three days after the race.
- Prizes must be claimed before 2:00 PM on the day of the race at the advertised location.
- If there is a discrepancy between information about the ÍR street race on different media, the information on the ÍR website, on the information page for the Víðavangshlaup and the Gamlárshlaup, on the other hand, always applies.
II. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- These terms and conditions apply between the participant and the tournament organizer, and registration for the tournament constitutes the participant's agreement to abide by the terms and conditions.
- The tournament organizer is not responsible for the health of participants in tournaments organized by it, during the tournament or in connection with it. In addition, the tournament organizer or its employees and partners are not liable for any damage, whether physical or financial, that participants suffer as a result of participation.
- The tournament organizer is authorized to review or change these terms and conditions due to unforeseen circumstances, such as natural disasters or weather. If there are changes to the terms and conditions, they will be notified to participants by email.
- The party who registers more than themselves for the tournament agrees to be responsible for introducing the terms and conditions to those they register. If the same are not ready to accept the terms and conditions, a written comment must be received by the tournament organizer within two days of registration.
- Anyone who registers themselves and others for the tournament agrees to grant the tournament organizer permission to use registration information, with the proviso that the registration or use of the information is a normal part of the tournament organizer's activities. This refers to the publication of results, general mailings, emails and information on the website.
- Personal information provided by participants will be treated with complete confidentiality and will not be shared with third parties. All photos taken by the official tournament photographers of its participants are reserved by the tournament organizer for use in marketing and promotional materials.
- The tournament organizer may send participants a few emails with various important announcements, such as information about the tournament in question, changes to the program and registration. There is always the option to unsubscribe from this mailing list.
III.TERMS OF PAYMENT
- All prices are in ISK.
- Total sum of entry fee given is final no VAT is added.
- The entry fee is not refundable but the name on a registration can be changed until one day prior to the race.
- Entry fees paid for this year can not be used for next year's event.
- If the Event is cancelled because of force majeure no new date will be set; the next Event will take place a year later. In this case no entry fees and additional orders will be refunded to the Participant.
- RAPYD is handling payments on behalf of organiser.
