Mývatnsmaraþon
The Mývatn Marathon will be held Saturday May 25, 2024. The Marathon starts and ends by the Mývatn Nature Baths. Come join us for a full weekend of activities for the whole family. 

SCHEDULE Here is the schedule on race day:
11:00 - 42 km run starts (we stop timing the race after 6 hours)
13:00 - 21 km run starts
14:00 - 10 km run starts

17:00 - Timing stops

The run is around Lake Mývatn on a flat asphalt road. Experience and enjoy the unique environment while running around the lake, within lava and volcanoes.
Altitude maximum 382m. Total descending elevation is 177m and total ascending elevation is 191m.

Online-registration will close Friday May 24th. It is possible to register on site at Mývatn Nature Baths on the 25th.

Until March 2nd:
10 km - 6.900 isk
21 km - 9.900 isk
42 km - 11.900 isk

March 2nd to May 24th:
10 km - 7.900 isk
21 km - 10.900 isk
42 km - 12.900 isk

May 25th - day of run
10 km - 8.900 isk
21 km - 11.900 isk
