Payment terms

I. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS 


  1. These terms and conditions apply between the participant and the event organizer, and registration for the event constitutes the participant’s acceptance of these terms. 
  2. The organizer is not responsible for the health of participants during or in connection with events it manages. Neither the organizer, its employees, nor its partners are liable for any damage — whether physical or financial — that participants may incur due to participation. 
  3. The organizer reserves the right to review or amend these terms due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters or weather conditions. Any changes to the terms will be communicated to participants via email. 
  4. Any person registering others in addition to themselves accepts responsibility for informing them of these terms. If those individuals do not agree to the terms, a written objection must be submitted to the organizer within two (2) days of registration. 
  5. Anyone registering themselves or others authorizes the organizer to use registration information, provided such use is a normal part of the organizer’s operations. This includes the publication of results, general mailings, emails, and information on the official website. 
  6. Personal information provided by participants will be treated confidentially and will not be shared with third parties. The organizer reserves the right to use any photos taken by official event photographers of participants for marketing and promotional purposes. 
  7. Participants acknowledge the difficulty level of the race, which takes place in Iceland’s highlands where weather conditions can be unpredictable. Participants are expected to familiarize themselves with the course and time limits. Each participant is fully responsible for their own safety. 
  8. The organizer may send a few emails to participants with important announcements, such as information about the event, schedule changes, or registration details. Participants will always have the option to unsubscribe from these mailing lists. 

 

II. PAYMENT TERMS 

  1. The registration process includes a price calculator displaying amounts in Icelandic krónur (ISK). 
  2. The total participation fee displayed by the calculator is the final price. 
  3. Participation fees are fully refundable up to 40 days before the event; after that, no refunds will be issued. 
  4. Participation fees cannot be carried over to the following year. 
  5. If the event cannot take place due to unforeseen circumstances — such as natural disasters or weather conditions — participation fees will not be refunded. 
  6. Payments are processed through Teya’s payment system – www.teya.is
