Terms and conditions

I. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. These terms and conditions apply between the participant or their legal guardian(s) and the event organizer. Registration for the event constitutes acceptance by the participant/legal guardian(s) to comply with these terms.
  2. The event organizer does not assume responsibility for the health of participants in events organized by them, neither during the event nor in connection with it. Furthermore, neither the event organizer, event staff, nor partners accept liability for any damage, whether bodily or financial, that participants may suffer as a result of participation.
  3. The event organizer is authorized to review or amend these terms and conditions, the timetable, and the organization of the event due to unforeseen circumstances, such as natural disasters or weather conditions. Any changes to the terms will be communicated to participants by email. The event organizer is also entitled to suspend the race while it is in progress due to such circumstances.
  4. The event organizer may disqualify participants who do not comply with the established rules.
  5. Any person who registers someone other than themselves for the event agrees to be responsible for informing those they register, or their legal guardian(s) if they are under 18 years of age, of these terms and conditions. If those parties are not prepared to accept the terms, a written objection must be submitted to the event organizer within two days of registration.
  6. Each registered participant is responsible for their race number and is not permitted to give it to others for participation in the event. Anyone running with a number that is not registered to them by the event organizer is not considered a valid participant. Participants must display their race number visibly throughout the entire race.
  7. Participants must show respect for nature and are not permitted to discard any litter along the route, except in designated containers at aid stations. Participants must show consideration for other runners and hikers along the route and follow staff instructions at all times. Right-hand traffic must be observed in all cases, especially given that parts of the race routes run along narrow trails in steep terrain.
  8. External assistance to competitors is not permitted, except in emergencies. Participants are required to assist other participants in distress until other appropriate help arrives.
  9. Any person registering themselves and/or others for the event agrees to grant the event organizer permission to use registration information for the organization and execution of the event, provided that such registration or use of information constitutes a normal part of the organizer’s activities. This includes publication of results, notifications, or information relating to the event issued by the organizer. Registered participants may unsubscribe from the event’s mailing list.
  10. Personal data provided by participants will be treated with full confidentiality and will not be shared with third parties. The event organizer reserves the right to use any photographs taken of participants by the event’s official photographers for marketing and promotional material, including on the event’s websites.
