The 5VH Trail Run
The 5VH Trail Run (Fimmvörðuháls Trail Run) will take place Saturday August 10th 2024.The run is about 28 km, starting from Skógar and ending at Volcano Huts in Husadalur.Webpage: www.5vhtrailrun.com

Starting point: Skógar (Close to Skógarfoss)
Date: August 8th, 2026
Route: Skógar to Volcano Huts, Húsadal in Thorsmörk.
Time limit: 7 hours (4pm)
Price:
19.900 ISK until December 31st.
22.900 ISK from January 1st.
23.900 after June 30th.
Included in registration fee:
Race number, course marshals/management, and timing
Aid Stations at Balvinsskáli (13 km), Strákagil (23 km) and Volcano Huts. Water, Sport drinks, bananas, chocolates and Nääk products
Shower and WC facilities at the finish
A meal at the end of the race in Volcano Huts
No refunds, but name changing is allowed until 29th of July.
Medical assistance at the finish line.
Baggage transfer from Skógar (start) to Volcano Huts (finish)
All registered participants will receive an email well in advance of the race, offering the opportunity to arrange transport to and from Reykjavík.
The Race shirt can be purchased upon registration. It is optional but available at a good price. After June 30th, it is not possible to order a Race shirt.
